Software Engineer
I work at a financial technology company, building software for dental practices. My day-to-day is mostly backend: designing and building APIs with ASP.NET Core, deploying to Azure, working against SQL Server, and making sure the plumbing underneath the product holds up. I've also done front-end work, including supporting a React application in a previous role, but backend is where I spend most of my time and where I'm strongest.
Lately that's also meant leaning into AI-assisted development. I use Claude Code both at work and on personal projects, this site included. I like backend problems: writing code that talks to the database and vice versa, APIs, and the plumbing that makes an app trustworthy.
